"The Golden Nuggets
Kiwanis Club meetings occur every Tuesday and offer
an atmosphere of fun, learning and fellowship. Guest
speakers provide an educational, informative experience
for members.
Service projects include
reading to children and collecting books for Head
Start programs, providing support to and educating
the community about the Rocky Mountain Kiwanis Pediatric
Trauma Institute at The Children's Hospital in Denver,
and participating in events such as the March of
Dimes' WalkAmerica..
Service projects also
may address other needs within the community, such
as combating substance abuse, helping elderly people,
promoting literacy, supporting youth sports, responding
to disasters, and aiding specific persons or families
in need."
