• Volvo Penta (Sat, 17 Nov 2007 00:00:00 GMT) Volvo Penta reports that a number of returned (under warranty) Holley carburetors show evidence of corrosion inside fuel bowl and/or on metering block and may result in a fire and/or explosion hazard due to fuel leaking if ignition source is present. Requires inspect and replace defective carburetors. DNR dated 11/21/07 - models 3.0 L, 4.3 L and 5.0 L. Serial numbers ranging from 4012177265 through 4012204622. If date code marked on carburetor is between 3355 (Dec 1, 2005) and 2436 (Aug 31, 2006) carburetor must be replaced, see Volvo Penta service bulletin 23-1 19 01.
• Carver Boat Corporation 396, 444, AND 410 (Thu, 20 Sep 2007 00:00:00 GMT) Bonding material used in construction of mufflers may fail resulting in exhaust gases leaking into interior spaces of the boat. List of affected hins on file
• Westerbeke Corporation (Tue, 11 Sep 2007 00:00:00 GMT) 070816-DRM - Models: 4.2 SBCG, 5.0 SBCG, 6.5 SBCG, 8.0 SBEG, 10.0 SBEG, 12.5 SBEG, 14.0 SBEG, 18.0 SBEG, 20.0 SBEG, and 22.5 SBEG. Problem: fuel pumps which operate when generator is not running and fuel injector is not closed can introduce fuel into the engine manifould and cylinders and over time into the engine compartment. Fix: install protective circuit to deenergize fuel pumps whenever generator is not running. 070911-DRM- DNR 371 units corrected or repaired; date code for all units are E409 thru E707.
• Minn Kota Motors Maxxum 101 (36V) (Wed, 29 Aug 2007 00:00:00 GMT) 48 circuit boards in the 1233 36-volt Maxxum 101 motors produced betw 7/11/06 and 11/9/06 have failed. Of these, 48 resulted in the non-primary propulsion electric trolling motor ceasing to operate. In two isolated instances the circuit board failure resulted in the trolling motor overheating to the point of combustion.

Affected models are -- Atlantic model w/ five digit serial nos 10001 - 50180 1997 - 2006. Pacific model w/ five digit serial serial nos. 10001 - 50180 1997 - 2006. Baltic model w/ five digit serial nos. 10001 - 50180 1997 - 2002. XM offshore model w/ five digit serial nos 10001 - 50180 1997 - 2001. Any affected model of leisure life raft manufactured between 2002 and 2006 beginning with the manufacturer ID code XDC in the HIN is considered to be involved. • Volvo Penta/QL (Wed, 08 Aug 2007 00:00:00 GMT) 12 volt CT600 and CT900 bow thrusters and 12 volt SP600 and SP900 stern thrusters marketed under the QL label have overheated during operation due to deviations from installation instructions; one such incident resulted in an electrical fire
• American Suzuki DF300/300Z Outboard Motor (Mon, 06 Aug 2007 00:00:00 GMT) Suzuki reported one 2007 DF300 that failed to shift when the operator changed the shift position. Mfr is recalling model year 2007 DF 300 outboards with serial numbers 30001f-780068 through 781873 and DF 300 Z serials 3001z-780012 through 780843. Not all inclusive serial numbers are affected.
• Bombardier Recreational Products (Wed, 23 May 2007 00:00:00 GMT) Ball studs that support gas spring brackets on certain model year 2007 sportboats may fail causing the supported structure to fall. Typical supported structures include various doors, engine covers, and tilting seatbacks. • American Honda Motor Corp. BF135A & BF150A (Thu, 12 Apr 2007 00:00:00 GMT) Shift arm may break. Possibility of starting in gear. Models affected: BF135A, BARJ-1000001 - BARJ-1200961 and BASJ-1000001 - BASJ1200090; BF150A, BANJ-1000001 - BANJ-1202105 and BAPJ-1000001 - BAPJ-1200322.
• Bombardier 2007 Watercraft (Thu, 12 Apr 2007 00:00:00 GMT) On some watercraft fuel system pressure relief valve allowing excessive pressure to evacuate may be defective and may separate. This could allow fuel and/or fuel vapor to leak into watercraft bilge. Possible fire or explosion if ignition source present. Only 2007 models affected -- GTX/GTX WAKE/GTX LIMITED/GTI SE/GTI/RXP/RXT.
