The CU volleyball team will start its 25th season in program history on Friday and Saturday, August 27-28 at the Coors Events Center. The Buffs will host Furman on Friday and Duke on Saturday with both matches starting at 6:30 p.m.

A memorial service and candlelight vigil have been set for University of Colorado skier Spencer Nelson, who was killed last Saturday in a hiking accident in the mountains near Aspen. The candlelight vigil will take place Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the Rendezvous Fire Pit and a memorial service will take place Friday, August 20 at 11 a.m. at Hideaway Park, both located in Winter Park, Colo.

Fall camp continues with the Colorado Buffaloes sporting generic gold helmets. But coach Dan Hawkins said Tuesday that by the end of camp, deserving players will be wearing helmets featuring traditional CU logos.

The Buffs ran 159 total plays in a two-and-a-half hour scrimmage Thursday, the first of CU's 2010 fall camp. The offense racked up nearly 700 yards of offense, made 8-of-9 placement kicks and were penalized just five times on the day.
