Laurie Anderson is one of today's premier
performance artists. Known primarily for her
multimedia presentations she has cast herself in
roles as varied as visual artist, composer, poet,
photographer, filmmaker, electronics whiz, vocalist,
and instrumentalist.
Her newest project, "Homeland" is a series of songs
and stories that creates a poetic and political
portrait of contemporary American culture,
addressing the current climate of fear and the
obsession with information and security. Sonically,
Homeland is the most sophisticated Anderson
production to date.
